Something to Live for
What “What life expects from us” is about:
As you seek your passions, which should be your ultimate finish line, you should also be striving to live a life with a purpose. In fact, a life of purpose and living your passions are often one in the same.
By living a life with purpose, I’m talking about living with intent, living with clear goals, objectives, and principles. This needs to be addressed because sadly, I see millions of people just going through the motions. If you don’t have a “Why” to live, then why even bother? Figure out your why! We can all have one.
And the greater the purpose, the more reasons for doing what you do, the better. If you are going to a job every day to put food on the table for your family, that in itself is a noble purpose. Raising a family and being a productive member of society is a life with purpose. But I say, “Don’t stop there!” Once you have that purpose achieved, strive for more. How else can you serve this world? Who else can you help with your money, your resources, your gifts, your talents, and your vision?
What a shame it is when people live their entire life without having shared their gifts, talents, and vision with this world.
“If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll probably end up someplace else.” ~ Unknown
“This is the true joy of life: the being used up for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clot of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.” ~ George Bernard Shaw
