Dharma Diet – Post # 8
Well, I actually made it! As of December 18th I had lost 30 pounds in just 4 months: from 172 to 142.
Unfortunately, I will likely have gained a few pounds back since we are in the middle of Christmas and New Years. I’m going to allow myself to enjoy a bit of food and drink without feeling guilty. I’ve accomplished far more than I ever thought I could, so a little reward is in order. (And since I’ve now “cracked the code” as it were, I don’t have any fear of being able to get back on track after the holidays.)
One frustrating result is that I still have a bit of a bicycle tire around my waist. I’ve come so far that I feel like I want to go a bit further to lose that. Therefore, I may go for an additional 5 pounds. Like many Christian churches this time of year, my church is doing a “21 Days of Fasting” challenge in January. So I may use that opportunity and “group effort” to try to knock out that final bit of bicycle tire.
Update on the book: I should have the book, Dharma Diet, available for pre-order on January 1st, and the goal is for it to be fully available in Kindle and paperback by the middle of the month.
